An avalanche in Kootenay Pass area of Canada has claimed life of a person and seriously injured a woman, CBC News reported.
Avalanche occurred at Twin Lakes near Stagleap Provincial Park.
Kootenay Pass avalanche conditions were observed by a team of about 26 search and rescue members.
The Canadian Avalanche Centre had issued a special avalanche warning for BC.
