M 5.0 earthquake in Ramechhap shakes Nepal's capital Kathmandu

According to Nepal Seismological Center, an aftershock of magnitude 5.0 has been recorded in Ramechhap at 05:42 am Monday morning. The epicenter was located near Saghutar. It occurred at a shallow depth of 2 km.

Three days ago, magnitude 4.1 aftershock rattled Kathmandu valley with epicenter in Godawari, Lalitpur. Yesterday, an aftershock of magnitude 4.3 was recorded in Sindhupalchowk at 10:01 pm. At least 334 aftershocks of magnitude 4 or greater have been recorded since major April 25 earthquake.

The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) has mentioned a preliminary aftershock of magnitude 4.7 in Nepal/Tibet border region at around 05:42 am Monday morning.
