A landslide in Tanzania's northwestern district of Kahama has claimed lives of at least 19 gold miners on Thursday night.
According to Justus Kamugisha, Shinyanga regional police commander, at least 19 bodies have been recovered so far and rescue operations are underway, Xinhua reported.
Police suspects many more feared trapped in mining pits.
