  • Flash floods in Mandera, Kenya
    -At least three people have been confirmed dead after flash floods in Mandera swept away a Nairobi-bound bus.

    - Massive dust storm hit Belarus this week — turning day into night.

  • Floods in Kazakhstan affect 1,760 houses
    -Recent floods in Karaganda Oblast in Kazakhstan have affected 1,760 houses in 35 villages, the Oblast's Department of Emergency Situations said.

  • Ubinas volcano eruption in Peru
    -Ubinas volcano has spewed gases and ashes some 2,500 metres into the air triggering off a series of mudslides.

  • The Australian Defence Force (ADF) has completed its recovery mission in cyclone-ravaged Vanuatu. More than 500 ADF members were deployed to Vanuatu to assist in the international aid effort after Tropical Cyclone Pam tore through the country last month, killing 11 people, ABC reported.
