Alaska tsunami preparedness week 2016 will begin on March 27, the 52nd anniversary of the Great Alaska Earthquake and Tsunami.
The Alaska tsunami preparedness week is scheduled for March 27 - April 2, 2016 this year, National Weather Service mentioned in its Weather Preparedness Events Calendar.
Yesterday, Governor of California, Edmund G. Brown Jr. issued a proclamation declaring March 20 through 26, 2016, as Tsunami Preparedness Week in the State of California.
