Feb. 16, 2016: Southern California earthquake today measures 3.9

Magnitude 3.9 light earthquake rattled Southern California today (February 16, 2016) at 01:24 am Tuesday morning, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

According to USGS, the quake's epicenter was located 5km NNW of Big Bear City at a very shallow depth of 1.2 miles.

The tremor was well felt in 30 km radius including in Big Bear City, Angelus Oaks, Big Bear Lake, Forest Falls, Lucerne Valley, Running Springs, Mentone, Apple Valley and surrounding areas.

However, no damage or injuries have been reported.
