Three more tremors jolt Nepal, 330 aftershocks felt since April Quake

Three light earthquakes with magnitudes between 4.1 and 4.3 jolted Nepal Thursday night, taking the total number of aftershocks (>=4) to 330 after the devastating earthquake struck the country on April 25.

According to Nepal Seismological Center, magnitude 4.3 aftershock was recorded in Nuwakot at 09:07 pm. The epicenter was located near Chaturali, east of Okharpauwa. The tremor was well felt in Kathmandu valley and adjoining districts.

At 11:49 pm, magnitude 4.1 aftershock rattled Dolakha. The epicenter was located near Jiri.

Two minutes later, another magnitude 4.2 light earthquake hit Nuwakot/Sindhupalchowk border region. The epicenter was located near Ichowk.

No further damage or injuries have been reported.

Kathmandu valley has been declared 'Disaster Area' for a year based on Natural Calamity (Relief) Act, 1982.

Earthquake in Nepal has claimed lives of at least 8,841 people as of June 25, 2015. The highest number of fatalities have been reported from Sindhupalchowk (3,440), followed by Kathmandu (1,222).

Nepal earthquake has also shifted Mount Everest, the world's highest peak, by three centimeters (1.2 inches) to the southwest, Chinese authorities said.
