Recent flooding in northern Lào Cai Province of Vietnam has claimed lives of four people and left seven others missing.
Three people died in the mountainous Bát Xát District and one other in Sa Pa District.
According to The Vietnam News, Typhoon Nida brought heavy rain and thunderstorms to northern Vietnam casing severe situation in the region.
Lào Cai Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Rescue (SCDPR) said that more than 100 households in Cốc San commune were partially flooded.
The SCDPR has estimated flood damages more than VNĐ200 billion (US$8.9 million).
