Earthquake in Concord, New Hampshire today measures 2.9

Magnitude 2.9 earthquake shakes Concord, New Hampshire today at 09:18 am, the United States Geological Survey reported.

According to USGS, the epicenter was located 6 km NW of Contoocook and 19 km WNW of Concord, New Hampshire. The earthquake occurred at 3.1 miles depth.

Tremor was well felt by the people of Warner, Concord, Henniker, Contoocook, Salisbury, Canterbury, Bradford, Weare and Hillsborough.

No damage or injuries have been reported.

Magnitude 6.5 earthquake in New England in 1638 is the strongest earthquake on record in New Hamsphire.
