Earthquake Zagreb, Croatia measured at 2.8 in magnitude

M 2.8 weak earthquake shakes Zagreb, the capital and the largest city of the Republic of Croatia, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.

According to the EMSC, the quake's epicenter was located 4 km W of Kašina and 11 km N of Zagreb, Croatia. It was 3.1 miles deep.

One person from Zagreb reported EMSC: "Heard the rumbling for a second, then felt movement from one side to another while lying in bed. Felt as if the bed moved."

Other person has written: "We were on the 3rd floor in an old building (yr 1915) next to the Zagreb Cathedral - first a rumbling - Like a detonation, then few seconds of shaking, our bed was moving, windows were shaking. Very intense!"

No damage or injury reports have been obtained so far.

The 1880 Zagreb earthquake with magnitude 6.3 had claimed life of a person and destroyed many buildings.
