Several power lines were down at 7th Ave. and Washington Way, and at other locations between Longview and Kelso, KOIN 6 News reported.

The National Weather Service has mentioned that the tornado passed through six blocks but haven't caused injuries. The National Weather Service survey team also confirmed that the tornado that touched down near Longview around 12:40 p.m. was an EF1, meaning winds were anywhere from 86 to 110 mph.

According to the AP, tornadoes are rare in Washington state and the Pacific Northwest as the Pacific Ocean generally prevents severe temperature changes.
