Darwin shook by strong earthquake in Indonesia

M 6.5 strong earthquake hits Maluku Islands in Indonesia today, the  Indonesia Seismological Agency (BMKG) reported.

The quake's epicenter was located in Banda Sea, 189 km WNW of Saumlaki. It was 121 km deep.

Following USGS Pager Map, weak shaking of MMI III will have felt by the people of Tual and Lospalos.

People of Darwin, Australia also reported weak shaking. Darwin is located about 600 km far from the epicenter area.

No tsunami warning has been issued.
