Earthquake felt in Seoul, South Korea

Moderate earthquake with magnitude 4.8 hit along the coast of North and South Korea (Yellow Sea) today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was located 76km WSW of Ongjin. It was 8.4 miles deep.

Tremor was felt as far as Seoul, South Korea. Seoul is the capital and largest metropolis of South Korea.

Magnitude 2.7 earthquake hit South Korea in April 2013.

Report by National Emergency management Agency has shown that if an earthquake with the magnitude of 7 occurs in South Korea, it could kill more than 50,000 and injure more than 620,000 people!
