Earthquake in Southern California today

There was light earthquake in Southern California today. Magnitude 3.7 earthquake was recorded by U.S. Geological Survey around 11:16 A.M.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake in Southern California today was located 22 km ESE from Anza and 24 km SW from La Quinta. It was 5.5 miles deep.

Following epicenter location and depth, earthquake in Southern California today will have felt by the people of San Diego, Indio, Palm Desert, Cathedral City, Ramona, La Quinta, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Riverside, Anza and Idyllwild.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

Each year, Southern California is hit by 10,000 earthquakes. Just several hundred are greater than magnitude 3.0 and felt by people.
