Light earthquake in Budapest, Hungary

M 4.1 light earthquake shakes Hungary today, Centre Sismologique Euro-Méditerranéen reported.

According to the EMSC, the quake's epicenter was located 54 km N of Budapest. It was 5 km deep.

Tremor was well felt in Nógrád county and over the border in Slovakia. People of Budapest are reporting weak shaking.

This Hungary earthquake's epicenter is just 24 km northeast of Danube River. Danube is predicted to cause widespread flooding in Hungary and Slovakia in the coming days.
